Patra Jasa CSR Activity for
Pasar Beringharjo, which has been established since March 24, 1925, has historical and philosophical values related with Keraton Yogyakarta because it has passed three phases, namely the period of work, occupation and independence. The name of Beringharjo originated from the meaning of banyan tree forest, which is expected to provide prosperity for the people of Yogyakarta. This traditional market, has been established since March 25, 1925, is planned to be preserved as one of Indonesian Cultural Heritage.
PT Patra Jasa participated in re-arranging Pasar Beringharjo as well as re-organizing Malioboro Area by providing Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) funds.
Aside from develop Pasar Beringharjo as one of cultural preserve, the purpose of this activity was to emphasize that Pasar Beringharjo as one of shopping tourist destinations that could be visited by tourists from various regions and also countries.
President Director of PT Patra Jasa, Mr. Hari T. Wibowo said, “When we heard about City of Yogyakarta, what emerged from people’s minds were certainly Malioboro and Pasar Beringharjo. That is why Pasar Beringharjo deserves more attention because it is one of interesting place for tourists to come to Yogyakarta “.
He continued, “With Patra Jasa’s participation in re-arranging Pasar Beringharjo, it is expected to provide positive energy, not only to traders in Pasar Beringharjo, but also to surrounding community and visitors. By creating a comfortable and mild atmosphere, there will be many local and foreign tourists visiting the market ”.
Present at the event, Mayor of Yogyakarta – Mr. H. Haryadi Suyuti and his Deputy, Mr. Heroe Poerwadi, along with their staff.
