The CSR Activities Management of Maggot, Patra Comfort Bandung

As a form of concern and effort to help reduce organic waste around the Patra Jasa business unit, Patra Comfort Bandung held Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) activities with the theme Maggot Management Extension.

This activity is one of Patra Jasa’s real efforts in helping the Bandung City Government’s program to succeed in minimizing household waste, especially organic waste generated in the environment around Lebak Gede Exit. According to data from the Department of Environment and Hygiene (DLHK) of the City of Bandung, the average pile of organic waste in the city of Bandung reaches 930 tons per day.

The counseling on maggot management which was held on Wednesday, July 29, 2020 at Patra Comfort Bandung was attended by Endang Lestari GM Patra Comfort Bandung, Rissa Dwi Susanti Head of Cleaning Facilities at the Bandung City Environment and Hygiene Service, Cecep Rohmat Soleh the Village Head of Lebak Gede and 30 representatives from RW, farmer practitioners, TPS waste manager, Babinsa and Kamtibmas Lebak Gede Village.

In this outreach event, the community was given an understanding and knowledge about the benefits of managing organic waste by Dr. Ramadhani Eka Putra, a Lecturer at the School of Biological Science and Technology (SITH) at the Bandung Institute of Technology and Agus Hermawan, the Management of the Community Empowerment Institute as resource persons. The format of the event in the form of a presentation opens the opportunity for the public to ask questions and discuss directly with the experts.
