Accompany Pregnant Women & Toddlers Regarding Nutrition, Patra Jasa Collaborates with the City of Bandung Subdistrict to Address the Stunting Issue

Bandung – As a form of positive contribution to the community around the city of Bandung, Patra Jasa is once again carrying out Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) activities focused on reducing stunting rates (19/11).

 

Through Patra Bandung Hotel, Patra Jasa’s CSR this time is focused on the Environment by collaborating with the Working Group (Pokja) of the Lebak Gede Village Posyandu to continue efforts to reduce stunting rates among toddlers and pregnant women. With the theme KOPAJA ANTING (Collaboration of Entrepreneurs and Posyandu Working Group to Address Stunting), monitoring will be conducted together with the Lebak Gede Village Posyandu for 20 pregnant women and 37 toddlers over approximately 3 (three) months.

 

The Posyandu of Lebak Gede Subdistrict will routinely provide nutritional assistance to pregnant women and toddlers below the red line. In addition, health monitoring and evaluation are also conducted, through measuring the weight and height of children, as well as measuring the upper arm circumference (UAC) of pregnant women experiencing Chronic Energy Deficiency (CED) to prevent children from being born with stunting risk. This activity is also carried out to enhance the integration of stunting reduction interventions for the 1,000 HPK priority group. (Hari Pertama Kehidupan).

 

The ceremony was opened by the Head of the Bandung City Health Office – Anhar Hadian SKM MTR. AP, and continued with a socialization themed on the importance of nutrition and sanitation during the child’s development period. The CSR program activities held are the Proposal for the Healthy Food Provision Program by Lebak Gede Village for toddlers at risk of stunting and the provision of high-protein staple food assistance for pregnant women with Chronic Energy Deficiency, as well as nutrition socialization conducted by Nutrition Experts from UPTD Sekeloa Health Center.

 

In his speech, the Head of the Bandung City Health Office expressed his support for this program, “Initiatives like Kopaja Anting demonstrate that synergy between the Government, corporations, and the community is key. We greatly appreciate the efforts of PT Patra Jasa and Patra Bandung Hotel in supporting this national priority.”

 

“This program is a form of our commitment to contribute to society in reducing stunting and Chronic Energy Deficiency among pregnant women, considering that these issues are serious and require more attention, as they affect the quality of Indonesia’s human resources. Our hope is that this TJSL Program can contribute to preventive interventions, as well as an increase in nutritional status among priority groups at risk of stunting and towards Bandung Zero Stunting,” said Acting VP Corporate Secretary, Rina Martha.
