Parapat – As a Portfolio Subsidiary of PT Pertamina (Persero), Patra Jasa continues to be committed to the community, including around the Patra Parapat Hotel unit. Through the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program, Patra Jasa provides assistance in the form of public facilities and infrastructure in the Aek Nauli Monkey Park Tourism Area, Parapat, North Sumatra.
The high potential related to tourist visits from Medan to Lake Toba presents an opportunity to develop a monkey tourism park in the Special Purpose Forest Area (KHDTK) of Aek Nauli. Reported through balaikliringkehati.menlhk.go.id, the Monkey Forest Sibaganding, known as the Taman Wisata Kera, is a natural tourist attraction in the National Strategic Tourism Area (KSPN) of Lake Toba.
“This CSR is a sustainable program carried out by Patra Jasa through its business unit – Patra Parapat Hotel. Through this activity, we provided infrastructure assistance in the form of: road safety barriers leading to the monkey park, signage for the monkey park, 6 (six) trash bins, 4 (four) signboards, repainting the monkey park, as well as creating a monkey bathing area, and refurbishing the entrance gate area, to be utilized in the Aek Nauli Monkey Park Tourism area,” said Febby, Pjs of Corporate Social Responsibility Manager at PT Patra Jasa in her speech, Thursday, (12/12/2024).
The ceremony held in the Gajah Dompak 3 Meeting Room – Patra Parapat Hotel on Thursday, December 12, 2024, was attended by the Head of Girsang Sipangan Bolon Subdistrict – Oslando Harady P, S.STP.MM, the Parapat Police Chief – IPTU Rino Herianto, the Parapat Danramil – Captain Inf Paul V. TMP. Sitorus, the Head of the Aek Nauli KLHK Office Ir. Eva Betty Sinaga, M.P represented by Yessi, the Sibaganding Village Head – Martno Wandi Bakkara SH, and also the Gamot or village elders – Parma Manik.
The CSR assistance was handed over directly by Febby, accompanied by Topan Saputra as the General Manager of Patra Parapat Hotel, and received directly by the KLHK Aek Nauli Office, represented by Yessi. The activity continued with the signing of a Cooperation Agreement between PT Patra Jasa, represented by the GM of Patra Parapat Hotel, and the KLHK Aek Nauli Office.
“We greatly hope that with this assistance, the Monkey Forest Aek Nauli tourist area in Parapat can develop further and increase visits from both local and international tourists.Of course, to be able to see the monkeys in their natural habitat while ensuring the safety of visitors heading to each spot in the tourist area,” concluded Febby.
This program is a tangible manifestation of PT Patra Jasa and Patra Parapat Hotel’s commitment to supporting environmental empowerment, particularly in the tourism development sector in the Parapat area. (12/12/2024)
