Collaborate with Pertamina and the Indonesian Red Cross, Patra Jasa Performs Trauma Healing and Provides Social Assistance for Residents Affected by the Cianjur Earthquake

An earthquake with a magnitude of 5.6 MAG that afflict Cianjur Regency, West Java on Monday 21 November 2022, has brought sadness. In order to help, Patra Jasa provide social support, especially for PERWIRA who lived in Cianjur and local residents who were affected by the earthquake in Pertamina Peduli program.

 

The locations visited were in Sukamulya Village and Benjot Village, Cugenang District, Cianjur Regency. On this occasion, apart from providing social assistance in the form of 2 platoon tents, 80 baby kit packages, 240 boxes of underwear, 160 canned food, 8 boxes of UHT milk, 5 boxes of biscuits, 80 packages of children’s goodie bags and several pairs of clothes, Patra Jasa Volunteers also could engage with the children to play.

 

In collaboration with the Indonesian Red Cross (PMI), Patra Jasa aided in the form of 2 platoon tents, measuring 6 x 4 meters which were received directly by Kyai Nandang, a leader and an elder of Benjot Village RT 04 RW 01. Tents that can accommodate 3 family (KK) was established at PMI Command Post. “As the elder here, I thank for the assistance by Patra Jasa. The Benjot Village Post really need tents because it often rains here. In here, we have accommodated around 700 residents affected by the earthquake and there are still several families living in makeshift tents,” said Kyai Nandang.

 

Sukamulya Village Coordinator, Midwife named Ii Uripah said the aid was meaningful for Sukamulya Village residents. Moreover, Patra Jasa volunteers also distributed 150 pax of ready-to-eat food to the emergency tents and carried out trauma healing activities at the soccer field which is not far from the emergency tents. Patra Jasa Volunteers, the Adventurer Community and Volunteers from the Indonesia Health Corporation (IHC) played together with the children to train children’s focus, sing together, helped release post-trauma. This activity was enthusiastically attended by 25 children ranging from kindergarten students to 9th graders of Junior High School.
