Bali, September 25th, 2025 – Thru the Kenali program, a collaboration between the Independent Energy Village – Sustainable Fishing Families, Pertamina International Shipping, Patra Jasa, and Divers Clean Action (DCA) organized a Blue Food Workshop in Kelan Village, Badung Regency, Bali (9/25). This corporate social and environmental responsibility (TJSL) program aims to enhance the capacity of coastal communities by developing skills in processing Blue Food such as fish, shellfish, seaweed, and value-added, sustainable marine products that have the potential to become business opportunities.
In this activity, Patra Jasa brought in chefs from The Patra Bali Resort & Villas unit to provide education and introduce menu innovations based on healthy, nutritious, and commercially viable seafood. In addition to the practical sessions, the participants, who were members of the local community, also discussed sustainability aspects with the facilitators.
This workshop is expected to have a real impact on the fishing families of Kelan Village, particularly in addressing economic challenges thru Blue Food processing skills, improved financial literacy, and the development of seafood-based businesses.
