To Continue Bali Local Culture, Patra Jasa Supports Traditional Arts Preservation Program

September 30, 2022

Almost every corner of the daily life of Balinese, gets a touch of beautiful Bali. This makes Bali famous all over the world with its abundant culture. To support local culture and refer to the directives issued by the Governor of Bali and the Bali Regional Government Circular, that all communities, agencies, institutions and business lines in Bali, are asked to implement the efforts to preserve local wisdom, Patra Jasa decided to carry out Social and Environmental Responsibility (TJSL) activities by preserving traditional Balinese arts.

The implementation of this intention is carried out by providing necessities to 2 (two) cultural communities, that are Sanggar Tari Lila Kumaris Art Production and Sanggar Tari & Tabuh Sekar Tanjung, in the form of supporting equipment for dance & percussion. Supporting equipment was officially given on Friday, September 30, 2022, at The Patra Bali Resort & Villas by the General Manager of The Patra Bali, Mr. Saleh Wibowo and received directly by Mr. I Wayan Suatra Neagra from Sanggar Tari Lila Kumaris, and Mr. I Putu Arya Suryawan from Sanggar Tari & Tabuh Sekar Tanjung.

“Apart from having to wear traditional Balinese clothes at our hotel for all employees, especially every Thursday Full Moon and Tilem, this TJSL that we dedicate to Sanggar Tari & Tabuh is a form of awareness in supporting and reviving local culture and wisdom, considering the forerunner of tourism in Bali actually started with the interest of foreign guests towards Balinese culture itself,” said Mr. Saleh on the event.

“We are grateful to Patra Jasa who cares about the preservation of traditional Balinese arts, so that through the cultural community, we try to participate in developing and inheriting our ancestral culture so that it will not be eroded by times,” said Mr. I Wayan Suatra Neagra from Sanggar Tari Lila Kumaris. Mr. I Putu Arya Suryawan from Sanggar Tari & Tabuh Sekar Tanjung continued; “We believe that Balinese culture will always have a special place in our hearts as indigenous people who are inheritors, as well as in the hearts of people from all over the world, so this local wisdom must be preserved forever.”

On the same day, The Patra Bali Resort & Villas carried out community service along Tuban Beach which is right behind the Hotel. This activity is carried out regularly as a form of Patra Jasa’s responsibility in protecting the surrounding environment, where the operational area is located.
